Takeo Spikes needs surgery on a torn rotator cuff, and the Philadelphia Eagles said Wednesday they will place the veteran linebacker on injured reserve. Spikes, injured during Sunday's 10-6 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, will have surgery on Friday and miss the last two games of the season. Dr. James Andrews will perform the operation.
